Outreach Teams Run on Supply, Not Just Passion
Volunteers rarely quit because they stopped caring. They quit because the morning was a mess.
A volunteer gives you a Saturday. What they get back is either a clear assignment and a stocked bin, or forty minutes of standing around while someone finds the tent.
The second version is how good people stop coming back.
Brief, kit, route
Every crew should leave the staging point knowing their site, their stock, their hours, and who to call. The kit should be packed for that site specifically.
That is a fifteen-minute briefing and a night of prep. It changes the entire tone of the day.
The field tells you what to fix
The site that always runs out. The question nobody has a good answer for. The table that needs a second chair. Collect it while it is fresh and the next drive starts further along.
